The best US Advanced Aerobatic Pilots will be competing for one of 8 spots on the next AWAC team at the US National Aerobatic Championship at Grayson County in Sherman-Denison Texas, 1.5 hour drive Northeast of DFW. The contest will be held the last week of September, Sunday September 23rd- Friday September 29th, 2008. The 8 pilots who accumulate the most points out of 4 flights will be eligible for the 2008 team. The 1st flight is the Known or “Q” flight on Sunday afternoon. The 2nd flight is the Freestyle on Monday afternoon. The 3rd flight is the 1st Unknown on Wednesday afternoon and the 4th flight is the 2nd Unknown on Thursday Afternoon. Pilots desiring to be on the team must declare their eligibility prior to Sunday afternoon. 95% of all Advanced Pilots who have entered the contest so far are team hopefuls.
